To avoid the fine every year around tax return time simply purchase a high deductible plan for around $150 a month and avoid the $750 fine. The bill authorized the hiring of about 16,000 new IRS agents to "enforce" the mandatory purchase of health insurance. The Health and Human Service Secretary will now have access to our tax returns as well. This bill actually makes the Health and Humans Services Secretary possibly the most powerful cabinet position, especially on the domestic side. The Secretary will have control of 1/6 of the economy.
